Tyler Florence mishap?
A few nights ago my lovely wife made some turmeric rice from a Tyler Florence recipe. I have to say it was the most disgusting thing she has ever made. It tasted like something akin to dirty feet or rotting cardboard.
Now this is weird. Tyler our #4 best celebrity cook has a bad recipe? Could it be maybe Terry made it incorrectly? Possibly, but we feel like our turmeric was on the archaic side and thought this could be the case of bad spice.
So we’re off to the Savory Spice Store to pick up some new turmeric as well as a ton of other spices since it’s our favorite spice store around. We are going to test this recipe again in hopes that it was bad turmeric and not Tyler’s recipe. We’ll keep our fingers crossed. Look for an update later this weekend…
